Water springs trail
Means of transport: A Peu
Difficulty: Very easy
Distance: 11 km
Starting point: Can LLapart (Crossroads between Pujarnol and Camós roads)
Duration: 2h 45'

Map trail:

This trail runs through different places in the Sierra de Camós, where there are small springs linked to the history of the area. The route provides fantastic views out over Banyoles and the lake.

Interesting Spots:

Can LLapart Masía Farmhouse: The present house is the result of refurbishment work in 1756. It is a good example of a very traditional practice in the area of storing grain in the building itself in basins and wooden beams.

Perpinyana Fountain: At the start of the trail is a path leading to Perpinyana fountain, located in a very pretty spot. The year 1933 is shown on the spring stone itself to indicate when the spot was prepared to aid water collection.

Ferriola Spring: Banyoles historian Mn. Constans thought this was the queen of all springs in the area, located on the highest part of the trail.

Can Ramió Hill: The plain of Can Ramió is located in one of the highest spots on the trail, where the vantage point of Can Ramió to the far end serves as a natural balcony with marvellous views out over the Estany de Banyoles and Rocacorba mountain.

Garravar Spring: Heading towards Camós halfway down the hill is Garrabà spring (off-route), just a few minutes away, although you will need to double back afterwards.  It is one of the busiest springs in the area.
