What to do?

As told in the book Soldiers of Salamis, when Rafael Sánchez Mazas arrived tired and with no appetite in the Palol de Revardit area, after having trekked several kilometres from El Collell where he had escaped the firing squad, he hid in the woods in the area until getting to Mas Borrell, where he was fed and told where to hide away.

This route shows scenarios where the protagonist fled and where part of the film directed by David Trueba was shot.

Mas Borrell, in the municipality of Palol de Revardir, is the masía farmhouse where the family of Maria Ferré lived. We continue through Can Batlle forest to get to Casa Nova, going along the route covered so many times by Sánchez Mazas and the Friends of the Forest in search of refuge and food.

Casa Nova is the masía farmhouse where Sánchez Mazas hid several days with the help of the Ferré family.

Then we take the path surrounding Casa Nova to Mas Borrell, following the river and heading on the forest track coming from the centre of Palol de Revardit.
