This visit goes from the lake to the old town in Banyoles, along the main canal.
It starts with an explanation of the formation, use of the lake and the source of the water, as well as the flora and fauna in the habitat.
Following along the main canal, visitors will learn how it was built and its various uses over time. Those spots where clothes were washed, a volume regulator and the canal system used to water the fields may be seen on this canalside walk.
The main canal eventually leads to the old town of Banyoles where the squares, streets and buildings explain the town’s history.
