This trail starts off in front of the church of Santa Maria del Collell.
The path in front of the Sanctuary is taken at the end of the flat ground in front of the church, heading towards El Torn. After a while, we reach the oratory cross where the inhabitants of Mieres and El Torn make pilgrimages.
From there, they head to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Collell praying the rosary. Later, the river needs to be crossed with El Torn lying ahead. Before entering the village, turn right and follow the long path.
Following the river we get to the end of the path and follow the river course until crossing over to head up to La Brugada field, in front of Mas Rampinya Forest. This is a very wet section since we follow the course of the River Ser. On arrival in the municipality of Sant Miquel de Campmajor, we head towards Roca castle and mill.
The latter has 3 sections, one dating from the late 13th / early 14th century. It is located alongside the river, next to a waterfall.
The completely renovated Roca Mill is a mediaeval flour mill which uses the natural waterfall and an eddy on the River Ser. The artificial canal taking water to the mill may also be seen.
Further along, there are some fields bordering the Cadamont Forest to the right. Les Carreres can be seen in the distance – a masía farmhouse which is presently abandoned and where Jesús Pascual sheltered after surviving the same firing squad as Rafael Sánchez Mazas before fleeing into exile in France. At the time, the mayor of Sant Miquel de Campmajor lived in the house and let him spend the night there on the condition that he left the following day.
The path is followed until a turning on the right. Heading into Cadamont Forest we get to the Cadamont family home – Ventajol – and then head to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Collell.
Comments: This trail is best followed in summer since it is necessary to go barefoot across the river at one point.
