As with much of the Pla de l’Estany, Vilademuls has a changing landscape between the Empordà plain and the rugged terrain of La Garrotxa (Josep Pla called this part of the country ‘Terraprim’). Many events are held throughout the year in this municipality, including El Aplec (the Meeting) and the Fira de Sant Mer (Sant Mer Festival), held in February. The village of Ollers, one of the twelve comprising the municipality, houses extremely interesting monuments. In addition, the other villages also have interesting and pretty churches and masía farmhouses.
