Opened since 1957 near the lake of Banyoles, precisely near the "estanyol del vilar". At the beginnings their founders, Ramon Ferrer i Planes and Maria Serra i Pujol, opened a small bar to serve some vermouths. After this, they decided to offer some stew and some salads accompanied with the mythical "dipped squid rings" that now we still continue offering.
Later, they started to cook barbecued chickens with fire of wood, which in the present keeps à la carte to be able to preserve the beginnings.
Actually, Esteve Ferrer i Serra, son of the founders, manages it with the help of his wife, Veronica and their son Ramon. All three have modernized and have broadened the facilities, attempting to make the best cooking of market with touches of modernity but without forgetting the roots of the land that surrounds them, using products of the zone.
We expect to improve every day and to be able to give the best service that deserves every customer.
